Georgia is clearly the better team, but its offense has not yet operated with the efficiency it did last season. Mississippi State has been porous on defense this year, but the defense needs just a stop or two to cover this number. On offense, freshman quarterback Michael Van Buren gives Mississippi State a rushing threat behind center and has the benefit of an off week. Even if this game gets out of hand, there's a chance of a backdoor cover since Georgia has a big matchup at No. 1 Texas next week and will be more interested in running out the clock than running up the score.

When Mississippi State played Texas it moved as a snail-like pace to keep from getting blown out too badly. I'd anticipate the same approach here, as the Bulldogs just don't have the ammo to compete.
