We all know that Clemson's offense can be an issue but it faces the lowest-rated red-zone defense in the nation in the Irish. The Tigers also had a bye week to heal up and prepare. At Notre Dame in 2020, the Irish ended Clemson's 36-game regular season winning streak, tied for the fourth-longest FBS regular season winning streak since 1936. I'm sure Dabo Swinney will remind his guys of that -- although Clemson then beat ND in the ACC title game. The Tigers can end Notre Dame's 26-game regular season winning streak against ACC opponents since 2018.

It's hard to peg what kind of performance Clemson will produce on a week-in, week-out basis, but defense still travels. The Tigers won't have much of an issue shutting down this one-dimensional Fighting Irish offense. Marcus Freeman's crew doesn't have a 300-yard game through the air this year, and is averaging just over 196 yards per game through the air. Clemson will be able to stop the run, and Drew Pyne isn't capable of winning this one with his arm.
