Welcome to the lowest total of the season. The defenses are nasty and the offenses meager, but Iowa has exceeded this number of six of seven outings. The combatants' combined scoring output is 49 ppg. The Badgers’ two biggest games of the year (versus Notre Dame and Michigan) produced 54 and 55 points, while Iowa’s (against Iowa State and Penn State) generated 44 and 43. I can't remember seeing a college football total this low in a long time. I get it as both defenses are terrific and both offenses rather vanilla, but I have to take Over with a number this small. It can't end 20-17? Iowa has scored at least 23 points in every game but one and UW has scored at least 20 in three straight, including hanging 30 on a good Purdue defense last Saturday. The weather apparently will not be a factor in Madison.
