Indiana won the first meeting outright despite getting 4.5 points at home. The Hoosiers enter this matchup more rested than the Boilermakers. Purdue is coming off a deflating loss to Michigan and has Michigan State on deck. Look for a relatively competitive Purdue win.

Purdue simply has to come out breathing fire after getting run by Michigan at home on Tuesday night. Mackey Arena was as loud as a jet engine and then the Wolverines had a 20-point lead by halftime before cruising in the second half and eventually winning by 11. Up next is an Indiana team that is not only a rival but just beat you in Bloomington last month. The Hoosiers have had nearly a week to stew in their 20-point loss at Illinois, so maybe there’s a little bit of rust getting back to game speed on that end, but really we’re eyeing Purdue making a statement early after such a poor showing out of the gate against the Wolverines earlier this week.
