With fast tempos, high-scoring offenses and plenty of variance in the defensive performance these teams sure look like mirror images of each other on paper. There are, of course, some distinct differences when it comes to exactly how each team gets to scoring close to 90 points nearly every single night and what to expect defensively when these two volatile forces collide. Ultimately I think Darius Acuff’s individual excellence and the Hogs’ advantage inside can keep Arkansas in the game all the way until the final possession. The difference between 3s and 2s can shrink if Arkansas limits second-chance opportunities and creates of few of their own, and it’s in that gritty approach where I give Acuff and the Razorbacks an edge.
