Again, I'm not big on totals but I've been watching this all morning just keep rising (think it's done now), and I simply have to play an Under on a number this high. The biggest NCAA total I can remember is 192.5 but there certainly may have been higher. Yes, IUPUI just scored 102 points in its opener .. and lost by 16 to Ohio State. I agree with Bob Konarski on his spread play for this game that the total is an overreaction to that first Jaguars game. But LIU managed only 67 in its opening loss to Notre Dame. Our model has 169 points being scored.

This is a wild total to start. 184.5 points may be a little overreaction from IU Indy’s first game against the Buckeyes. However, IU Indy should be one of those teams with a lot of offensive inconsistencies this season. The Sharks will want a slower paced game but with their veteran team, who should be near the top of the NEC, are capable of speeding up the tempo. IU Indy will play fast but also commit a ton of fouls with their style as they committed 36 fouls in game one and allowed the Buckeyes to shot 53 FTs. Long Island is better fundamentally and may see more success offensively against a weaker defense.
