Delaware went 15-19 this year and was only 3-11 on the road and they go head to head with Towson who was 22-10. Towson finished first in the Colonial Athletic Association finishing with the two-game lead over UNC Wilmington. Towson beat Delaware twice the season. Delaware finished this season with a 77-78 average score. The Tigers slow it down with the 32nd-best scoring defense allowing 66 points per game and only 23.2 field goals allowed each game. On Friday afternoon, when No. 12 seed Delaware tipped off the CAA tournament, the Blue Hens hardly could have imagined suiting up Monday for their fourth game in as many days. Yet here they are, tackling top seed Towson, which has played but once. The Tigers are clearly better, having gone 16-2 in league play and riding a 9-1 straight-up streak. Their bonus advantage is rest. On Sunday, two starters went 19 minutes, another 25. The Blue Hens essentially go 7 1/2 players deep. In their first two outings, all five starters logged at least 32 minutes. As impressive as the Blue Hens have been, they could hit a wall.

Towson plays a deep rotation that will be problem for Hens running on fumes. Backcourt of Tejada/Williamson are hot and went 29/60 in 2 games vs Hens totaling 71 points. Don't expect an inauguration-like slow walk up Pennsylvania Avenue in D.C. for this one as the Coastal moves into the semifinals. U-Dee, in particular, is riding a high into tonight after blowing the doors off of favored William & Mary, 100-78, in Sunday's quarters. VPI transfer F John Camden destroyed the Tribe with 36 points, continuing his late-season assault that included 31 points on February 27 vs. Charleston. The go-go Blue Hens are riding a 7-2 over run into Monday as well. Towson is also on an over run into tonight (four straight and six of eight), hitting 80 pg its last four, led by sharpshooter soph G Dylan Williamson, who burned Drexel for 32 in the Tigers' quarterfinal win.
