The Wolverines are struggling defensively, giving up an average of 84 points in regulation in their last two games: a double-OT loss to Florida and a shocking home loss to McNeese. Minnesota's veteran backcourt should be able to take advantage. Elijah Hawkins leads the nation in assists (7.8) while Mike Mitchell Jr. is shooting 41.7 percent from deep. With the Gophers getting leading scorer Dawson Garcia (17.6 ppg, 7.2 rpg) back from an ankle injury, I like them to at least keep this close.
