I don’t think Wichita State will be on upset alert against South Dakota State. The price is short which alerted me to bet the new-look Shockers with coach Paul Mills, the former Oral Roberts coach. Mills likes the fast pace and his squad is averaging nine more points than last season. They’re also getting dirty on defense holding opponents to 38% shooting. Wichita State to cover.

One negative about preferring college basketball moneylines is that they are posted last. Wichita State opened as low as -2.5 on the spread and I would have gotten a decent ML price at that number but none available and now it's in the -190 range with the spread rising. The Shockers have been good to us so far this season. WSU ranks 4th nationally in defensive rebounds per game, 7th in rebounds per game, 14th in rebound margin and 24th in field goal defense. Quincy Ballard ranks 12th nationally in blocks (22). Too much size for SDSU to deal with likely.
