Penn State was embarrassed in both match-ups against Purdue this season. However, the Nittany Lions have been playing great basketball of late. Yes, this will be their fourth game in four days and some may believe regression and tried legs are coming but this has been a very tough, gritty team down the stretch. Penn State does not have a big man that can contain Purdue's Zach Edey but they have found always to grind out wins against their last four opponents, who have the clear size advantage down-low. Not saying Penn State is going to win this game but they have the heart to keep this one within the number, especially with their three-point shooting. I'm on Penn State.
Big Ten Tournament final from Chicago. Think 8 is as high as we are getting. Penn State has won eight of nine and six of those wins were Quad 1 victories. Thus, I think PSU is in the Dance now regardless of what happens today. Andrew Funk leads the conference with a 41.3 three-point shooting percentage and 3.0 triples per game. Seth Lundy ranks second with a 40.1% 3FG and third with 2.6 treys per contest. They will need to be on because PSU doesn't really have anyone to deal with Zach Edey, but who does? Purdue looks for the rare regular season/Big Ten Tournament title split. It is 0-6 ATS in its past six games vs. a team with a winning record.
