I'll be honest, I don't want to pick this game as the line seems spot-on. But we only have Larry so I feel obligated. And I agree with him. I've followed PC all year and they might actually be deeper than KU. Everyone jumped ship when the Friars got smoked in the Big East Tournament by Creighton and, yep, they lost twice to Villanova. But this is a well-coached, veteran team. The average age of the Friars' top seven players is 23.0 years. Is KU more talented? Sure, but I think this is within four points or so. PC is among the better three-point defenses in the nation.
Ochai Agbaji and Christian Braun are prolific scorers, combining for nearly 34 points per game, but the Friars have defenders who match up well in Al Durham and Justin Minaya. Providence is outstanding in stopping dribble penetration. Providence thrives in the underdog role -- 8-1 ATS this season. The Friars' lone ATS loss as a dog came by one point to Villanova (they were getting four points and lost 89-84). The Jayhawks are a strong, but not dominant team. When laying more than five points against NCAA Tournament teams this season, they're 1-7 ATS. Take the points.
