The High Point Panthers have increased their pace, as they have averaged 83 points per game over their last three. This is something the Big South Conference has not seen, and could catch Winthrop off guard. Take High Point as the Panthers already defeated Winthrop 65-56 on Jan. 24.

The Panthers beat Winthrop 65-56 in the only regular-season matchup, forcing the Eagles into a massive 31 percent turnover rate, per insider Jordan Majewski. High Point won despite leading scorer John-Michael Wright (18.3 ppg) fouling out with nine points and four turnovers himself. Winthrop likely avenges that loss, but this is too many points. Back the Panthers to cover their fifth straight.

One of those two losses? At High Point on Jan. 24, but that was a bit of a trap game and at least will assure that the Eagles don't take the Panthers for granted. Winthrop's DJ Burns was the Big South Player of the Year. He shot a league-best 63.5 percent from the field. As long as Burns doesn't get hurt/in foul trouble, Winthrop should advance.
