The Cavaliers' ability to puncture the tires on North Carolina's high-speed train is perhaps the shining example of the devastation caused by their stifling defense. Both clubs could be in flat spot on short rest, with Virginia coming off a loss against Duke and North Carolina tested in overtime by Miami.

Virginia has won and covered its last three meetings with North Carolina, but the Tar Heels come in riding a seven-game win streak (5-2 ATS). Only one of those wins came against top-five ACC teams. Their last loss was Jan. 13 in Chapel Hill, 82-63, against Louisville. I like Virginia to bounce back from Saturday's Duke loss and get the win Monday.

This is a big ask for Virginia, taking on North Carolina in Chapel Hill just two days after the crushing loss to Duke. The Cavaliers are extra-concerned because F Mamadi Diakite (head), who left in the first half for good, might be off-limits for coach Tony Bennett and G Ty Jerome (back) must be feeling the effects from Saturday’s game. The Heels are 11-1 straight-up at home, had covered five straight overall before Saturday’s OT win over Miami and are 4-1 ATS in recent visits by the Cavaliers.
