Fanatics awards bonus bets in FanCash if a user's first bet of the day loses. This promo spans a user's first 10 days with the sportsbook after signing up, and Fanatics covers each user's first bet of the day for $100 each for a maximum of $1,000 in bonus bets. This offer applies only to the first bet of the day and only returns FanCash if any of those bets lose. Users must opt into the promo every day. The 10 days begin the day you sign up with Fanatics Sportsbook and not the day you place your first bet. Bonus bets expire seven days after they're issued and can't be withdrawn, as they hold no cash value. If you win a bet with bonus bets, you only get the winnings, not the stake back.

Best bets for Saturday, August 16
The NFL preseason has a loaded 11-game schedule on Saturday, with games starting at 1 p.m. ET, with the last game of the day kicking off at 9:30 p.m. ET. Some notable games to keep an eye on are the Cleveland Browns at the Philadelphia Eagles at 1 p.m. and the New York Jets at the New York Giants at 7 p.m. Cleveland started Shedeur Sanders in its preseason opener last week, and the son of Hall of Famer Deion Sanders played well. Unfortunately, he hurt his oblique in practice this week and won't play Saturday. Joe Flacco is the presumed starter, but the team has a notable QB room with Flacco, Sanders, former first-round pick Kenny Pickett, 2025 third-rounder Dillon Gabriel and Tyler Huntley, who made a Pro Bowl with Baltimore. As for the New York-New York matchup, the Jets will look to build off last week when they trounced the Packers 30-10. Justin Fields is the Jets' new QB1 and is aiming to cement himself as a long-term starter in the league. After years of poor QB play, the Giants signed veterans Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston this offseason and drafted Jaxson Dart in the first round. Wilson is the presumed starter, but Dart's worth watching in the preseason, especially after he played well in his first NFL game last week. Check out expert picks from the SportsLine crew for Saturday's preseason action.
MLB is jam-packed with 15 games for Players Weekend, and one of the top games of the day is in the Big Apple when the New York Mets host the Seattle Mariners. The visitors won a back-and-forth clash 11-9 thanks in large part to a three-hit day from MVP candidate Cal Raleigh, which included his league-leading 46th home run. These teams are moving in different directions, as Seattle has won eight of 10 and holds the top AL Wild Card spot while trailing the Houston Astros by just a half-game in the AL West, while the Mets have dropped 14 of their last 16 and hold the third NL Wild Card spot by just a half-game over the Cincinnati Reds. Nolan McLean is making his MLB debut for the Mets as the team's top pitching prospect, while the Mariners are set to start Bryan Woo (10-6, 3.08 ERA), an All-Star this year who's pitched at least six innings in all 23 of his starts this season. The SportsLine Projection Model, which simulates every MLB game 10,000 times, is backing Seattle on the money line, giving that a 'B' grade as the Mariners win in nearly 60% of simulations at -114 odds.
UFC 319 takes place in Chicago Saturday night, and there's a massive main event as Dricus du Plessis defends his middleweight title against Khamzat Chimaev. The champion is making his third title defense and is riding an 11-fight win streak. So far, du Plessis is undefeated in UFC and has a career MMA record of 23-2. As for the challenger, Chimaev is a perfect 14-0 in his professional career and is looking for his first UFC title. Chimaev is a -250 favorite at Fanatics, while du Plessis is priced at +200. Check out UFC 319 picks from experts Kyle Marley and Daniel Vithlani.
