Arguably the biggest game of all on Wednesday is a Big East college basketball showdown as No. 15 St. John's visits No. 6 UConn. The Red Storm won the first meeting of the season 81-72 when the Johnnies hosted at Madison Square Garden on Feb. 6, so Dan Hurley will be eager for revenge tonight. The Huskies are 13-2 in Storrs this season, with the losses coming at the hands of No. 2 Arizona in November and Creighton last week, the latter a massive upset. UConn rebounded with a win over Villanova but with Rick Pitino's team having won 13 straight and boasting a perfect road record, the stage is set for drama. Many outside observers assumed the Boston Celtics would take a step back this year with Jayson Tatum sidelined for the season. Yet Boston is in second place in the Eastern Conference and has won nine of its last ten games, proving that the Celtics can win without their superstar. Boston visits Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday. Denver has won just four of its last ten and is without forward Aaron Gordon due to a hamstring injury. Boston has its own health concerns as Jaylen Brown missed Tuesday's game with a bruised knee, but it's possible the Celtics held him out of the contest against the lowly Suns in anticipation of Wednesday's harder test.
