Half unit with Leon Draisaitl still out for Edmonton, but the Pens are in the second of a B2B and Artus Silovs has lost his past three. Former Pens goalie Tristan Jarry has looked much better with his new club.
It might have been fun had the goalies involved in last month's trade (Stuart Skinner and Tristan Jarry) faced off tonight, but Skinner worked for the Pens last night in Calgary and won't feature in a return to Edmonton, giving way to Arturs Silovs instead. Silovs has been victimized by lack of goal support his last three starts, losing his last two in shootouts, and might have a similar predicament tonight as Jarry has been superb in the Oilers net since returning from injury, with a 1.98 GAA and .920 saves in three January starts. We know he'll be extra-focused to face his old Pittsburgh team, and note Edmonton has allowed just three goals its last four games (losing two!). Play Penguins-Oilers Under
This is a tough spot for the Penguins. I gave out Pittsburgh last night and noted goalie Stuart Skinner was hot. Skinner held Calgary to one goal and is now 6-0-1 in his last seven starts. However, it doesn't look like we'll get a Skinner revenge game in his return to Edmonton. After consecutive starts, the Penguins are expected to use Arturs Silovs in net tonight. Pittsburgh is playing its third straight road game and the Calgary/Edmonton back-to-back is always tough. The Oilers have won eight of the last nine meetings with all the victories coming by 2+ goals. Also, 14 of Edmonton's last 16 wins have been by 2+ goals. I played -1 at BetRivers but would also bet -1.5 for a half unit.
