We'll play the "new coach bounce" here as Edmonton goes it minus coach Jay Woodcroft, who walked the plank on Sunday. That decision was obviously made before Saturday's 4-1 win at Seattle which was arguably Edmonton's best game of the season. New coach Kris Knoblach comes from outside the organization (was with the Rangers' AHL affiliate in Hartford), but the other attraction here is against a stumbling Isles side that has lost four straight and scored just eight goals in the process. The books sure know what they are doing. If they would give me a good PL price on the Islanders, I'd take it, but they won't do it probably knowing they are forcing bettors like me to take a semi-pricy home side when road teams are doing well of late. Will take another shot on the Oilers in the hopes that the coaching change Sunday is the impetus for a turnaround (they did actually win Saturday pre-change). The new coach is Kris Knoblauch, who was Connor McDavid's former coach in the OHL, so now it's all on the superstar. Frankly, he has been a disappointment so far. Maybe this gets him going. The Isles have lost four straight and Ilya Sorokin looks broken.
