I'd like to play my Bears today but let's just say not glowing reports for Caleb Williams (not playing today) and that offense so far out of camp. So no. But this is preseason game No. 2 for the Chargers and that's an edge over the Saints. The LA quarterbacks today will be Taylor Heinicke and Trey Lance, and I'd certainly rather have any either of those guys than the Saints' cadre of young guys battling for the starting job. The Bolts pounded Detroit in the HOF Game and this is their only home exhibition matchup. You could see how well LA is coached by Jim Harbaugh even in that HOF Game as his team had zero turnovers (five for DET) and only three penalties.

It should come as no surprise that uber-competitive Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh prefers wins to losses in exhibition games. During his NFL career, Harbaugh is 12-8 SU and ATS following a blowout victory in the Hall of Fame game. As for counterpart Kellen Moore, who knows? This marks his debut as a head coach. Moore understandably feels compelled to send out most of the starters for at least a cameo. But his blank slate in the preseason against a proven nemesis tilts the scales to L.A. What’s more, the Chargers hold an advantage for having already played a game.
