The Commanders lost at San Francisco last week and now they'll try to break a season-long trend. Teams that face the physical 49ers are 0-13 the following week, getting outscored by a combined 336-223. Deshaun Watson hasn't looked good but remember, his receivers dropped three touchdowns last week. Carson Wentz (2-4 as a starter) takes over and could be under serious pressure from Myles Garrett and company. Last week, Commanders' QBs were pressured on a season-high 52.8 percent of their dropbacks. Take the points.
The Browns offense continues to struggle with Deshaun Watson at the helm, scoring just three offensive TDs in his four games. But you can blame the struggles in his debut on the two-year layoff, and the matchups and/or weather since haven't been in his favor. The Commanders defense was just beat up and down the field by Brock Purdy and Co., so this could be Watson's best chance at a breakout to date. The Commanders could also turn back to Carson Wentz here, which would be a downgrade for their offense based on what we saw earlier in the year. With little home-field advantage to speak of, this seems like a tough game for Washington to win.
