Dalvin Cook is likely back for the Vikings, but so is Jadeveon Clowney for the Browns. I think the front seven of the Browns are going to make things difficult for Vikings QB Kirk Cousins. I also think the Vikings are satisfied with their win last week. Cousins getting rattled and making mistakes is the bet. Take the Browns laying the short price.
After Week 1, Cleveland looks like the far more impressive team among the two in this matchup, but while the Browns have won each of their last two games, they struggled against the Texans until Tyrod Taylor was injured and then didn't face much of a test in Justin Fields' first start. The Vikings have largely erased the narrative coming out of Week 1 and should be coming off back-to-back wins against the best division in football if not for a missed kick late in Week 2. While I think the Browns are the better team, they are also dealing with more significant injuries and on the road in one of the toughest environments in the NFL. The value is with the home 'dog here.
Both of these teams play the same type of game. A lot of their success is predicated off the run game and efficient quarterback play. The latter is what Minnesota is getting this season from Kirk Cousins, who is off to a terrific start. I worry about the Vikings defense against the run in this game. Cleveland, with its two No. 1 running backs in Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt, should get the cover in this one.
