Deshaun Watson takes on the team that probably should've taken him in the 2017 NFL Draft. Considering how the Texans lost last week's game against the Colts, I would expect Watson to come out against Chicago guns blazing. The Bears offense, led by QB Mitch Trubisky, has sputtered all season long, and this game won't be any different.
I know the impulse is to take the Texans here after the Bears lost six straight, but they could (should?) have won last week and their other five were against potential playoff teams. Their offense should have success running the ball down Houston's throat, as the Texans defense ranks 31st in yards per carry. That defense also has the lowest turnover rate in the league, so there's less of a chance of the Chicago offense imploding by giving the ball away. Even though Chicago will be without Buster Skrine, they have enough talent left to slow down a pass game featuring Keke Coutee and Chad Hansen in prominent roles. This will be Deshaun Watson's coldest game as a pro; will that have an effect?
The last six quarterbacks to face the Bears have posted 100-plus passer ratings, and now Deshaun Watson is coming to town. On the other side of the ball, Houston has no defensive backs who can match up with Allen Robinson. Expect both QBs to thrive as this one goes Over.
