No reason to get too excited about back-to-back Sacto covers, thru the backdoor on Saturday at San Antonio and winning vs. a similarly-minded Memphis on Monday. Remember, the Kings had lost 16 straight prior to the win over the Griz, and have shut down key cogs Domanrtas Sabonis, Zach LaVine, and DeAndre Hunter for the rest of the season. Any successes for Sacto are almost accidental now, as that's not the emphasis, and likely only to come vs. teams in a similar situation. The Rockets can likely name this score, after taking care of a related (to Sacto) Jazz side on Monday night by 20 after a challenging succession of assignments, no reason the Rockets can't simialrly extend the margin vs. the Kings. Amen Thompson (quadriceps) won’t play Wednesday. That should leave more minutes for Reed Sheppard against a Kings team that ranks 21st in the NBA in three-point shooting percentage allowed. Also helping Sheppard is that this game will be played in Houston, where he shoots 40.7% from deep. He has drained at least three triples in four of his last five home games, including three games in which he made at least four of them. I like his chances of hitting this over.
