The Cavaliers are no where near preseason expectations just one game below .500. They have lost three straight games including losing to tonight’s opponent in the Charlotte Hornets. Donovan Mitchell is listed as probable after sitting out Friday against the Bulls with an illness. He just played the Hornets a week ago and only scored 17 points. However, he shot 6-for-24 from the field and 1-for-11 from three in that game. That won’t happen again. He is averaging a career-high 21.7 shot attempts per game and the Hornets have the seventh-worst defensive rating in the league. With better efficiency in this rematch, I like Mitchell to score at least 30 points.

Look for Donovan Mitchell returning to the Cavs lineup tonight after missing Friday's loss to the Bulls due to illness, though Cleveland has been stumbling for a few weeks now, losing eight of its last eleven. One of those Ls came eight days ago at Rocket Arena against these same Hornets, who outscored the Cavs an odd 8-0 in OT to win 119-111. The aforementioned Mitchell was only 6-for-24 from the floor, while Duke rookie Kon Knueppel scored 29 for Charlotte. The Hornets also had a win on the road at Toronto within the past 2+ weeks and have usually been staying within earshot as Knueppel (who's paced the team in scoring for four straight games) has emerged as a force.
