As expected, Joel Embiid will play after sitting out the front end of a B2B on Monday. And I would not have touched the Sixers here otherwise despite playing a bad Washington team even though both Tyrese Maxey and rookie VJ Edgecombe are off to historic starts. Those guys are young, so the B2B shouldn't be too big of a deal for them. The Wiz are down one of their promising young starters in Bilal Coulibaly. This is a brutal defensive team, allowing an average of 136.0 PPG in its two losses. Kinda breaking my rules here taking a road team in a B2B vs. a rested home team, but the talent gap is so enormous.

The future is now for the 76ers. Rookie VJ Edgecombe has stepped right into a leading role, logging at least 39 minutes in each of their first three games. The result has been him averaging 5.7 rebounds and 6.0 assists. This is a great matchup for him to remain productive in both departments, considering that the Wizards have played at the second-fastest pace in the league.
