Alperen Sengun had 39 in the 2OT loss to Oklahoma City and was aggressively looking for his offense. Neither the Rockets or the Pistons will want to start the season 0-2 so I expect the stars for both teams to look to dominate and play to the end. Detroit was a better road team than home team last season. I like that the Rockets will play Steven Adams and Clint Capela a combined 32+ minutes because it allows Sengun to have less physical matchups on defense and potentially matchup with smaller players on offense.

The Rockets are going to play big again with Amen Thompson set to start at point guard against the Pistons. That means they will likely lean on Alperen Sengun to help facilitate their offense more. With Thompson at point guard in their season opener against the Thunder, Sengun finished with 39 points and seven assists. The Pistons just allowed 28 points and two assists to Bulls center Nikola Vucevic on Wednesday, so look for Sengun to dominate this matchup.
