The Detroit Pistons come into today’s matchup against the New York Knicks looking to avoid three straight losses at home. That’s an occurrence that has not happened the entire season, and I expect their aggression at the onset to overwhelm the Knicks. New York is coming off a difficult overtime loss against Boston. This is also a series that has shifted. New York had won sixteen straight over Detroit, but now the tables have turned with the Pistons taking the last two matchups. They’ve get their third victory in a row over New York and cover the number.

I think it would be borderline criminal for Pistons coach JB Bickerstaff to allow Cade Cunningham to play heavy minutes tonight. Why? Because the Pistons are all but locked into a first-round 3-6 matchup vs. these Knicks. Back in the day, the Pat Riley Knicks would try and hurt Cunningham ahead of a matchup. Just saying. And Bickerstaff has gone on record saying Cunningham needs some rest to help his banged-up body. CC's minutes average is down to 30.5 in two games this month.
