Evidence continues to mount that the Nets play better without top scorer Cam Thomas. Note Brooklyn lost all six games with Thomas on the floor after he was was activated in late February; now he's out again (hamstring), and the Nets are off a nice win (sans Thomas) over the Hawks on Sunday. Minus Thomas, they also almost knocked off these Celtics on Saturday, losing only 115-113. Cam Johnson has picked up the scoring baton, scoring 51 across those past two efforts, part of a 4-1 Brooklyn spread uptick. Perhaps Boston will be on its toes after the close call on Sunday, but the Celtics have covered just one of four, while struggling vs. teams like Brooklyn & Utah lately. Play Nets

The Celtics haven't been special against the Nets this season - as we saw again over the weekend - but Prichard has been. He has averaged 21.7/G against BRK this season, taking 8 threes per game and making 4.3. No Jaylen Brown should work in our favor. He's had a lot of success finding open spots on the court and winning match-ups vs Nets. He's also a +10 vs Nets and would expect him to see plenty of the court tonight, even if others come back from injury (like KP).

The Nets announced over the weekend that Cam Thomas (hamstring) will miss the remainder of the season. That should leave Keon Johnson with added minutes and shot attempts. Thomas has missed the last two games for the Nets and Johnson scored at least 21 points in both of them. That included a game against the Celtics, who he will face again Tuesday. Going back further, Johnson has scored at least 18 points in each of the last three games without Thomas. While he usually doesn’t shoot for a high percentage, the potential for a higher usage rate makes this over appealing.
