The Pels' CJ McCollum has topped this in back-to-back games after a minor slump and averages 21.9 PPG on the year. It's his first look at the Lakers, who are missing starters Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura, which will lessen the team's defense a bit. McCollum probably also would have expended a lot more energy defensively if Reaves was in there. Our model has CJ at 19.4 points.

A bit of an odd mix, under and the Pels, who are playing with a bit extra spring in their step now that Zion Williamson is making regular contributions. But it's hard to not begin noticing trends on the Lakers side; besides wins, it's seven straight unders since Luke Doncic joined the mix before the All-Star break. LA doesn't have to push the pace and play in transition with both LeBron and Luka on the floor at the same time; if anything, possessions are being extended a bit more than usual as the Lake Show works its half-court offense. LA hasn't allowed more than 102 points in seven games since Luka arrived, including vs. potent sides like the Nuggets, T-wolves, and Clippers. Play Pelicans-Lakers Under

The Pelicans are playing well having won five of their last seven games. They're also as healthy as they have been all season. Meanwhile LA's big 3 are all questionable for this game, albeit expected to suit up. Even if they do, I believe the Pels can hang with LA as they have been playing good basketball. I don't often post sides but I like this quite a bit.
