The Rockets PG Fred VanVleet gets out of that facilitator role especially against the Jazz. Dude has hoisted up 40 shots in last two games vs them. But we know this much - UTA will give up points and during 13-game losing streak allowing 31 assists/G (tied for last). Green ain't afraid to shoot, obviously, but somebody has to the tugboat if the PG is gonna be a shot-hog. Green avg 5.5/G last 10, he has at least 4 in 8 straight and averages 4.7/G this season vs UTA. I like his odds of getting 5 here more than VanVleet's of getting 8.

The dynamic rookie had a strong second half for the HOU team that seems to want to finish strong and set the tone for next season. Thompson has taken on a heavier rebounding role since they lost their starting C for the season. He has averaged 11 reb/G vs the sagging Jazz, grabbing 14 in their last meeting and 10 the time before that. UTA horrible non-competitive down the stretch with injuries playing a big role. Riding 13 straight losses are the Jazz going to battle tonight?

Rookie Amen Thompson has had an up and down rookie season and starting receiving significant playing time over the last month and a half, which coincided with Alperen Sengun suffering a season ending injury. Thompson has started 20 games and is averaging 13 PPG/9.6 RPG/3.3 APG .. good or a combined total of 25.9 PRA. Thompson will face a Jazz team with nothing to play for with a depleted roster, however they're playing slower than Utah was for the majority of the season. Houston are 9.5 point favorites indicating some blowout potential as well.

Utah has lost 13 in a row and 12 of them by 7 points or more. The lone exception was a one point loss to HOU but that was an anomaly. Rockets went into a covering funk, then took DAL to OT and just beat a good ORL team. Neither team has anything to play for, but Rockets seem to want to finish .500. Beat UTA by 28 last month. UTA 2-11 ATS during 13-game funk. I could see this one getting ugly.

The Rockets are over in 6 in a row and 12 of their last 14. Their average game total in that span is 237. All 12 of those games went over by at least 3 points and 11 of them went over by 5 or more. One of them, against UTA, totaled 266. These two also played a recent game at 201, but they came out shooting horrible, Bottom line is Jazz cant defend anyone, Rockets are scoring a ton and HOU defense lacking last few weeks. Jazz are over in 4 of their last 5; all 4 overs totaled 228+
