The Detroit Pistons put forth a disastrous effort and performance yesterday against the depleted Memphis Grizzlies. That creates a buy low opportunity today against a Brooklyn Nets team they defeated last month by six points. Jaden Ivey had his second best performance of the season with 34 points, and is coming off thirty one points in yesterday’s loss to the Grizzlies. Take the points here with Detroit.

Nicolas Claxton has quietly enjoyed a career season, despite the Nets having a dismal 30-47 record. Claxton is averaging 12 PPG and 9.9 RPG, and has totaled an impressive 29 double doubles this season. Claxton has been playing upwards of 32-35 over his last eight games and I expect him to get similar playing time in what is a must win game for the Nets. Detroit has been very generous to opposing Centers all season long and especially recently, having surrendered the third most PPG to Centers over their last 7 games. Look for Claxton to take advantage of a plus matchup in a must win game.
