    Understanding Public and Money

Think of 'Public' as the percentage of people betting on each side and 'Money' as how much money is being bet. When there's a big difference between the 'Public' and 'Money' data, it usually means that the more serious bettors (referred to as 'Sharp Money') are favoring a particular side.

    Matt's Analysis:

This has ticked up with LaMelo Ball out for the Hornets, but the Knicks still have to adjust to no Julius Randle for the first time this season and that's a big number on the road.

    Bruce's Analysis:

Late word from Knicks camp is that Julius Randle sits this one out on Monday with a shoulder injury. If that's a long-term situation, it's a real concern, but in the short-term expect NY to simply circle the wagons a bit tighter, and what Tom Thibodeau might need to keep the troops focused tonight. The Hornets have had plenty of bad spells this season, but for a three-game span, losing to the Pistons, getting blown out by 34 vs. the Rockets, and losing by double digits at home to the Jazz might be as low as it can get. The surging Knicks are now 12-2 SU and 11-3 vs. the line since the trade for OJ Anunoby at the beginning of the month. Play Knicks
