Pels shooting guard Trey Murphy only played 28 minutes Monday because it was a blowout in Portland. New Orleans will need all his scoring tonight to keep up with the Warriors. The 6-8 Virginia product has gone Over 15.5 points in four straight games and is averaging 18.8 this month. With the game total set in the mid-230s, look for Murphy to stay aggressive and go Over.
This line is very strange to me. How are the Pelicans, the winners of five straight games convincingly (SU and ATS), getting 8 points at the Warriors tonight? I understand that New Orleans played last night, although they had a chance to rest their starters in the fourth quarter of a 34-point blowout victory over Portland. The Warriors, on the other hand, lost at home on Sunday night to Minnesota. Unless the Pelicans are sitting players (no surprises listed at the time of this writing), which seems doubtful, I think this spread is at least a few points too high. If Golden State wins, I have a hard time seeing it being my more than two possessions against such a red hot team.
