Game from Paris (France, not Texas). As a Bulls fan, I will watch this so have to have a play even if it's not my favorite of the day. Check out my news feed story on the Bulls getting DeMar DeRozan back for this one and Chicago certainly should win its 13th in a row in the series, but as Larry noted and I agree, this is a lot of points for a mediocre team to give in a non-home game and it's up to 7.5 now. Weird things can happen in these non-USA games with all the travel, etc. The most popular player on the court -- actually the most popular player in the arena will be Frenchman Victor Wembanyama, the lock No. 1 overall pick in this year's draft who is expected to attend -- will be Pistons guard Killian Hayes. He was born in the USA but grew up in France and played some pro ball there as did his father. The Bulls are 2-6 ATS in their past eight vs. teams with a losing record.
The Bulls have beaten the Pistons 12 straight times but this is a big spread for a neutral-site game in Paris. The Bulls won the only previous meeting this season on Dec. 30 by 14 in Chicago, but it was a three-point game entering the fourth quarter and Detroit didn't have Killian Hayes due to suspension. Hayes grew up in France and played professionally there before coming to the NBA. Starting in place of Cade Cunningham, he's averaging 14.6 points and 8.0 assists this month. Detroit's leading rebounder, Jalen Duren, has sorted out his passport issues and joined the team in Paris. He's questionable after missing five straight games with an ankle issue. The Bulls are 5-10 ATS as favorites, failing to cover by nearly five points per game. Take the points.
