The Philadelphia 76ers toppled the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday as home underdogs. Yet, the following night they lost to the Hornets and now will face another team that is near the bottom of the NBA in the Magic. Even with a holiday off, look for the Magic to have enough offense to take down the short-handed 76ers.
Reinforcements are coming for the Magic in the form of standout rookie Paolo Banchero. He was thriving before he suffered an ankle injury, averaging 23.5 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. The Magic aren’t clear of injuries, though, with Wendell Carter Jr. (foot) listed as questionable. He did not participate in shootaround Friday, so he’s probably trending closer to not playing. Still, the Magic are 4-5 at home, compared to 1-8 on the road. The 76ers will also be missing James Harden (foot), Joel Embiid (foot) and Tyrese Maxey (foot). That might be too much for them to overcome on the road.
