Understanding Public and Money

Think of 'Public' as the percentage of people betting on each side and 'Money' as how much money is being bet. When there's a big difference between the 'Public' and 'Money' data, it usually means that the more serious bettors (referred to as 'Sharp Money') are favoring a particular side.

Mike's Analysis:

For the second straight game, the Bucks will take the floor without Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) and Jrue Holiday (ankle). They managed to pull off a win against the Thunder without them Wednesday in a game that went to double overtime. They shot 47.2 percent from behind the arc, which is a stat that will be difficult to duplicate. Jevon Carter scored 36 points on 15-for-27 shooting from the field. That will also be tough to do again. The Spurs are the healthier team and have home floor advantage, so I expect them to snap their five-game losing streak.

Matt's Analysis:

Well let's try this again. I faded the Bucks in OKC on Wednesday without the Greek Freak and Jrue Holiday ... and they freakin should have lost, but the Thunder's Luguentz Dort committed a knucklehead foul with 0.2 seconds left in OT. I still would have won the bet, but Brook Lopez missed one of two free throws (makes both and I win) and then the Bucks won by four in double OT and covered. Simply the way the NBA is treating me right now. No Giannis or Jrue tonight, either, and the end of a trip. The Spurs we know are well-coached at least and have been better than expected.
