Understanding Public and Money

Think of 'Public' as the percentage of people betting on each side and 'Money' as how much money is being bet. When there's a big difference between the 'Public' and 'Money' data, it usually means that the more serious bettors (referred to as 'Sharp Money') are favoring a particular side.

Micah's Analysis:

Deandre Ayton is out for another week and the Suns will have a tough time replacing what he does, which is drop about 16 pts and 10 rebounds per game. But I’m on the Suns tonight because Devin Booker is on fire and the Suns have won and covered their last four. They started this six-game homestand with a 134-105 win against the Warriors. The Timberwolves come off a lazy loss at San Antonio. The Suns shoot 49% from the field because they take smart shots. Suns to cover.

Mike's Analysis:

The Suns went 32-9 at home last season on their way to having the best record in the NBA. They are 4-0 at home this season, although two of their wins have come by three or fewer points. Not having Deandre Ayton (ankle) for this game is big, but Bismack Biyombo and Jock Landale have played well and provided key contributions when the Suns beat the Rockets by 15 points without Ayton on Sunday. If forced to choose, I think the Suns will cover, but I’ll play it a little safer and take them on the moneyline.
