The Pelicans couldn’t have looked much better in their season opener, defeating the Nets by 22 points in Brooklyn. The Hornets also won by more than 20 points in their first game, but they defeated the rebuilding Spurs. What’s important to note is that LaMelo Ball (ankle) will be out again. Don’t expect the Hornets to have enough firepower without him to keep this game close.
