Jayson Tatum really struggled in Game One, as he was 6 of 20 from the field. I expect a better performance in Game Two. The Celtics shot less than 40 percent from the field and still nearly covered. The Nets may be the best team in the NBA, but might be in cruise control in this one. They will win, but won't cover. Take the dog here.
Not much doubt that Brooklyn will win this game, but nine points seems a bit high. True, the Nets took Game 1 by 11, but Boston was only down three about midway through the fourth. The C's surely will shoot better than 36.7 percent this time -- Kemba Walker and Evan Fournier were a combined 8-for-26 from the field. Boston has covered its past six games on two days of rest.
Talk about an odd stat. The Nets won Game 1 of this series by 11 points despite shooting 23.5 percent from behind the arc. The trio of Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and James Harden shot a combined 5-for-24 on 3-pointers. How rare is that? Well, Irving and Durant shot 40.2 percent and 45.0 percent on 3-pointers, respectively, during the regular season. The Celtics might be able to make a game close when this series shifts to Boston, but with Game 2 being played in Brooklyn, look for the Nets to provide another lopsided win.
