Understanding Public and Money

Think of 'Public' as the percentage of people betting on each side and 'Money' as how much money is being bet. When there's a big difference between the 'Public' and 'Money' data, it usually means that the more serious bettors (referred to as 'Sharp Money') are favoring a particular side.

Tom's Analysis:

You might be surprised to learn that despite all of the significant injuries, the Golden State offense still ranks 11th in offensive efficiency. Where the injuries have had an impact is on the defensive end, where the Warriors are the worst in the NBA. Still, this total is a bit too high as Minnesota's offense moves quickly, but is inefficient. The Under going 25-9 in the last 34 games between these two doesn't hurt my confidence, either.

Mike's Analysis:

Injuries have certainly put an already thin Warriors roster behind the eight ball out of the gate. The good news is that they should get D’Angelo Russell back after he missed their last three contests with an ankle injury. They were actually fairly competitive without him, losing to the Hornets by only six points and they actually defeated the Blazers. Meanwhile, the Timberwolves were just blown out by 16 points by the Grizzlies. I do think Minnesota wins comfortably at home, but this line is so high that I’ll take the points.
