JT Ginn faces a Reds lineup that includes strikeout-heavy righty Matt McLain and rookie Hector Rodriguez on debut. I'm not tabbing Rodriguez as a strikeout target but Cincy has six hitters in there tonight with a 26% or worse strikeout rate vs. righties. We're getting +150 for a 6th strikeout on MGM which is where I would put a half unit. The over 4.5 Ks at -140 makes for a fair value bet, but I would like to chase the upside you get when facing this Reds lineup by taking over 5.5 here. Ginn has found a way to pickup strikeouts even if his stuff isn't elite, and the underlying swinging strike rate isn't bad either, at better than 12% in July.
We backed Brady Singer last week vs. the Guardians and he stunk it up. But still, Singer has really improved, allowing 0-2 earned runs in six of his previous eight starts. He’s backed by a bullpen with a sub-2 ERA the last two weeks. The A’s without Shea Langeliers are bottoming out, including scoring one run or less in two of three. The Reds are scoring and while J.T. Ginn isn’t bad, he hasn’t gotten out of the fifth inning in his last two road starts and the A’s bullpen has a 7.30 ERA the last 14 days.
DraftKings. After a brutal start to the season, Brady Singer has been much better of late. Since May 30th, the Reds righty has pitched to a 2.92 ERA, while allowing a .219 average against (.235 xBA). He’s stayed under this line in 7/11 starts in that span, including 5/6 at home. He’ll take on the Athletics, one of the few teams who enjoy an even stronger hitter’s advantage at home. When pulled away from Sacramento (or Las Vegas), the A’s have hit .222 against righties since June 1st (544 plate appearances). I like Singer to keep the A’s at bay today.

Clarke (hamstring) went 0-for-2 with a strikeout with Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday.
Abbott (6-8) took the loss Tuesday, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks over 6.1 innings as the Reds were downed 3-0 by the Cardinals. He struck out six.
Perkins did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Royals, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out four over 3.2 scoreless innings.
Harris (3-2) blew a save and took the loss against the Royals on Tuesday, allowing three runs (two earned) on three hits and one walk in two-thirds of an inning. He did not register a strikeout.
