Daylen Lile was used for just one pinch hit at bat in yesterday’s loss against the Arizona Diamondbacks. After having Thursday off as a team he is well rested going into the rest of the weekend. On the year he has had three hits or more in six games, with one of those being against the Diamondbacks. In the June series he cleared his combination line two of the three matchups. Since giving up nine earned runs to the Reds on May 14th in a 15-1 Nationals loss, Foster Griffin has been one of the best pitchers in baseball. Washington has won 10 of his last 11 starts, with the only loss being a nine run blown lead by the bullpen to San Francisco in June. Griffin has given up exactly one run in eight straight starts. Even though the Diamondbacks are playing very well, I think the Nationals left hander keeps them in check and his team wins the second game of the series on Saturday.
