We can say this with some conviction about the Tigers in this series...if they're involved, it's likely going to be a low-scoring game. Detroit's hit-and-miss offense is partly responsible, but so is representative pitching, which we've seen in the first two games of this series that both ended with 3-2 scorelines. Though shoved to the back of the rotation, Jack Flaherty still remains capable of delivering five innings of serviceable work before turning things over to the bullpen. Meanwhile, Logan Gilbert, capped at six innings, it seems, is off of a good September on the Seattle side, posting a 2.30 ERA in five starts. Play Mariners-Tigers Under.
We suspect this is the series most likely to go the full five games in the Division Round after splitting a pair of 3-2 decisions at T-Mobile Park. The theme of this series was established in Seattle as underdog sides won Games 1 & 2. Detroit doesn't score much, but has shown the ability to bunch runs in a specific inning, and Jack Flaherty is capable of giving AJ Hinch five innings before turning the ball over to the bullpen. The offense hasn't been clicking yet for the Mariners in this series and there will be much pressure on Logan Gilbert to keep Seattle in the game before turning matters over to his bullpen in the later innings. Play Tigers on the Money Line.

It was July 8th when the Mariners started a road trip at Yankee Stadium, and they lost all three games, which also went over the total. As a result, on July 11th, they took their frustration out on the Tigers, whom they ended up sweeping. But in that first game with the total sitting at seven and getting plus-240 on the money line, Cal Raleigh hit two home runs and had five RBIs in the game. Tarik Skubal gave up four runs in five innings to lose the game. Two home runs for Raleigh that day, but he’s +140 to have an RBI in Game 3 with the wind blowing out at 13 mph. He had 125 RBI’s during the season.
The Mariners were the best over team during the regular season, but they were involved in two 3-2 games in this Division Series against the Tigers in Seattle. However, their last series at Detroit in July went flying over, as in over two times the totals posted. Jack Flaherty has pitched well in his last four starts, with two of them going over, but he’s gone over each of the last three seasons against Seattle. Flaherty also lost to Logan Gilbert at Detroit on July 13th, 8-4. It's going to be 59° with a 52% chance of precipitation, but the wind is blowing out to right field at 13 mph. It’s over weather.
Seattle leaves the West Coast for the first time since Sept. 21 -- and was three games under .500 away despite a three-game sweep at Comerica Park to close the first half. I'm a little surprised the M's didn't use Logan Gilbert in one of the first two home games with an ERA of 2.24 this year at T-Mobile Park compared to 4.74 away. Detroit's Jack Flaherty was literally the biggest money-losing starter in the majors in the RS but has been a bit better of late and obviously the bullpen is fully ready after a day off. Detroit was 46-35 at home and hasn't played there since Sept. 21. Wouldn't surprise me if every game in this series is decided by one run.
