FanDuel. Hurston Waldrep has been terrific for the Braves depleted starting rotation. Since coming up from the minors, Waldrep’s pitched to a pristine 1.01 ERA across six starts, with 33 strikeouts in 35.1 innings. Having flashed plus strikeout stuff across all minor league levels, Waldrep has put up a 28% called plus swinging strike rate in the majors (commensurate with the likes of Joe Ryan and Hunter Brown). Waldrep will face the free-falling Mariners, who only have a .655 OPS against righties over the last two weeks, coupled with a league-average strikeout rate. Waldrep should see more than enough volume today to clear this line.

The Seattle Mariners took another bad loss yesterday as they are now 1-6 on their current road trip. I believe the bats respond today, even against Hurston Waldrep whose been nearly flawless in six August starts. He did allow four walks and his first home run of the season in his last start against Philadelphia. Opposite Bryce Miller has seen nine or more runs scored in six out of his last seven starts.
