The Orioles have lost six of their last seven games and will head to San Diego after a rough visit to San Francisco, where they face the Padres, who also had a terrible road trip, losing five of their last seven. But the Padres get a bonus today with Dylan Cease pitching. He's finally pitching like himself, with the Padres winning five of his last six starts. While he's giving up a few more runs than I’d like, it’s about where he's comfortable at and at home the Padres are 43-22 on the season. Kyle Bradish makes his second start since Tommy John surgery last year. This game is more about confidence level, with the Padres having all kinds of it at home. Padres.

The Padres ran a bullpen game yesterday and the bullpen, outside of their top three arms, was taxed over the weekend series. I could see Jason Adam, Adrian Morejon and Mason Miller all being used in the 7,8,9 innings but getting Cease through six innings would be great here. With September call ups there is likely another reliever on the way as added help for the bullpen but I still think this number should be 16.5 at worst. The only 2nd half 15.5 outs line we've had on Cease was against the Dodgers in LA, but Cease has been significantly better at home, and this lineup has largely not seen him much before.
