Certain teams when they are on you have to green light in the hitting prop markets. I’ll do so today on the Mets side of things with Francisco Lindor. Lindor ended a three game streak of going under on his total bases in yesterday’s victory over the Phillies. As a team the Mets have scored five runs or more in four of five games. Take Lindor to clear his total bases and I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets it done via a home run.
The Phillies have lost the first two games of this series to the Mets, and four of the last five meetings have gone over the total, with the only exception being a game that missed it by half a run. The Mets have gone over eight of their last nine games. Everybody is swinging the bat well on both teams at the moment. They sit number one and two in batting over the last 15 days. The Mets are hitting .312 and have belted 23 homers in their last 13 games, while the Phillies are batting .285 with 18 homers. Nolan McLean had an easy first outing for the Mets in their 12-7 win over the Braves five days ago. Just the over.
Finally on firmer ground in the NL wild card race are the Mets, into a mini-uptick that could grow into something more substantial if current momentum holds. Speaking of "mo" it's all on the New York side in this series with the Phils that the Mets are on the verge of sweeping, there's a buzz at Citi Field regarding the best Nolan for the Mets since Ryan, that would be young Mr. McLean, after winning his first two starts with a 1.46 ERA. Taijuan Walker's form hasn't been bad this month for the Phils, either (2.28 ERA), but Philly is having real bullpen issues in this series that's seen it allow 19 runs across the past two nights.
