Yesterday’s most lopsided game was the Blue Jays defeating the Rangers, 14 to 2. Texas needs their veteran bats to step up, in particular Corey Seager. Seager is 0 for his last 15 at the plate, and is hitting below .200 in the month of August. Today, he gets to see Jose Berrios who he is hitting .571 against in his career. Perfect spot for Seager to snap out of his mini-slide, take his total bases over.

I am not waiting on this play Sunday because I think it flips. It sure as heck (Jerry Lundegaard voice again) should. That the Blue Jays are home dogs is comical to me. Texas is getting crushed Saturday as I write this, which barring a miracle means its eighth loss in the past nine. The Rangers are favored because Nate Eovaldi (10-3, 1.71 ERA) is having a fantastic year. But he was hit hard last time out. This is one of those where I'd not play the ML at a very cheap price out of some respect for Eovaldi but will gladly take the +1.5 on the far better home team.
