The Athletics won back-to-back games after losing seven straight to Los Angeles. Jeffrey Springs has put together a solid season but owns a 4.35 home ERA and the Angels have not done well against lefties on the season, hitting .225. However, Joel Soriano has pitched very well on the road, 2.48 ERA, and has held his opponents to two runs, or less, in five of his last six starts. This line is fishy and all over the place with how well the Athletics have been playing.

That sweep of the Dodgers last week at the Big A seems like an eternity ago for the Halos, who after that rousing success have been outscored 17-5 the past two nights in Sacto in losses to the surging A's. The heady buzz of that sweep of the Dodgers in front of this series now nowhere to be found, and now the Angels have to rely upon erratic Jose Soriano, one of the AL leaders in walks and just two starts removed from getting battered by the Rays. Meanwhile, the hot A's, on a 14-7 roll, continue to score runs in bunches, and Jeffrey Springs not far removed from the A's winning five of his six July starts. Play A's on Money Line
