Povich has particularly struggled at home, with a 6.81 ERA, and remaining under this line in six of seven starts. He’ll face the Athletics, who have been torching lefties to the tune of an .877 OPS over the last month, including a .240 ISO. With the Orioles off tomorrow, and two relievers capable of pitching multiple innings fully rested, I’m counting on a short outing for Povich today.

This is a tough spot for the southpaw hurler facing an A’s lineup that is red hot. The A’s have hit lefties well all season as well, meanwhile Povich has not been going deep into many games.
