Kyle Stowers hit a clutch grand slam last night that helped fuel the Marlins' comeback against the Yankees. He's been one of the hottest hitters in the majors over the past month, with 11 home runs in his last 25 games. All 24 of his career home runs have come against right-handed pitchers, and today he faces rookie RHP Cam Schlittler. We set Stowers' line at +375 to homer.

Cam Schlitter has struck out at least five batters in two of his three starts so far in MLB action and the miss came against a low-strikeout Toronto lineup. He's been electric with his Stuff+ metrics, and gets to face a Miami lineup that has some lesser experienced hitters than most lineups. After the bullpen issues last night, if he's going even a little bit well here I would not be surprised to see the Yankees push him a third time through the order. For a 5th strikeout I think the price should be at least about 20 cents worse. I'm going 0.5u here and 0.5u/0.35u/015u ladder at 6,7,8 strikeouts.
The New York Yankees had one of the worst losses a team can suffer on the season yesterday to the Marlins. They led virtually the entire game, and when the Marlins took the lead in the bottom of the 7th, Anthony Volpe instantly tied it up leading off the 8th inning. Collapsing in the bottom of the ninth with their bullpen, could be a reoccurrence today against this feisty Marlins team. Take Miami who are 11-4 over their last fifteen games.
A whirlwind rally from down 9-4 in the 7th inning last night, with six runs in the bottom of the frame and ending up a 13-12 winner in extra innings over the shellshocked Yanks, suggests the Marlins still have a pulse in the NL wild card race. New York pitching depth in the rotation continues to be an issue and not sure Cam Schlittler, making just his fourth start, is an answer, considering his 4.91 ERA and scary 1.84 WHIP. Meanwhile, Eury Perez just completed a spectacular July for the Marlins, posting a 1.29 ERA in four starts, as Miami brings an 11-4 mark its last fifteen games into later today in Miami.
