Logan Webb will need to be the stopper here today for a Giants team that's now lost five straight and is in jeopardy of being swept in back to back series. Despite recent success, the Pirates still have one of the league's lowest OPS against righties and a near top 10 strikeout rate. Webb will need to get as deep as possible in this one and he was over this line with regularity earlier this year before a couple of tougher matchups against the Blue Jays and Mets the last couple times out. Look for him to get right at home.

What the heck has gotten into the Pirates? Way too little, too late but they have won six of seven. Still will be selling by tomorrow's deadline. Should be a massive sense of urgency for the WC hopeful Giants on a five-game skid and back to .500 for the first time since March 29. This is when you need an ace to stop the bleeding, and Logan Webb is the definition of an ace even if not great lately -- but those against much better lineups than the Pirates have.
